Example of daily admin email summary report

| This report is extremely useful for daily
spot-audit of your domain user accounts as part of an internal compliance
program. For example, the 'Expirations' section shows user accounts that have allowed their password to completely expire, which is a possible indication that the user is no longer with the company or no longer in need of a domain logon account. The last recorded NT logon timestamp is shown to the right. The 'Users Unable to Receive Messages' field shows user accounts that have an expiring password established, but are not mail-enabled. This is a very good indicator that either a service account has been misconfigured or someone has created a temp account that may not need to exist. *Note 1: Users who only log on to external web resources, such as Outlook Web Access or Outlook via RPC / HTTP, may show an old NT logon timestamp or 'Never Logged In'. This is due to the nature of Exchange, as Exchange does not pass the mail logon event to Active Directory. So, if you have remote-only mail users who do not ever log on locally to the domain LAN, you should audit the list on occasion with your HR dept and note accordingly in the City or Department field of the user's AD object properties. *Note 2: The daily report only covers user account objects that are licensed by Password Reminder PRO. If your actual domain user count exceeds your software license count, those accounts over your licensing will not receive a password reminder notice and will not be included in the daily admin summary. Additional licenses are available by contacting SysOp Sales through the Ordering page. |
